The #MeToo movement in India has named and shamed over 120 eminent people in the film and media industry. While we are not claiming that all the victims were women and all the accused were men, the figures seem to be tilting a certain way, so far.

While the survivors are out and enraged about the abuse they (and many others) have faced, along with the fact that their complaints were buried in the dark for so long, it is also a challenging time for men.

While some are actively supporting the brave women who have dared to name the powerful, some are introspecting on how they can change the patriarchal institutes that have silenced the voices of women for generations.

If you are a man who is confused about how you can be a part of this women-led #MeTooIndia movement, journalist HR Venkatesh has the perfect advice for you.

A thread that can open one’s eyes to how you can get involved in this revolution, irrespective of your gender and irrespective of whether you are a sexual harassment survivor, Venkatesh’s advice is a must-read.
